Hawaiian Burger

The burger of all burgers! Soft bun, crispy lettuce, crunchy red onion, juicy steak mince, melted cheese and sweet pineapple topped with our mouth watering burger sauce.

Method

Method for the burgers

  • Place the minced steak into a bowl with the crushed garlic, soy sauce, egg, salt and pepper and mix well. Form the mixture into 4 equal sized burger. Grill the burgers over a medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on both sides. Just before the burgers are ready, place a slice of cheese on top and allow it to melt. Grill the pineapple and onion slices over a high heat until soft and slightly browned. 

For the sauce

  • Simply stir the mayonnaise, soy sauce, honey and cayenne together.

To assemble

  • Arrange salad leaves onto the toasted brioche rolls, top with sauce, burgers, cheese, slices of radish, grilled onion, and pineapple before serving.

Ingredients for the burgers

  • 300 g Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured lean steak mince
  • 1 Large garlic clove crushed
  • 1 tsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • Salt and pepper

Ingredients for the sauce

  • 100 ml Low fat mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 0.25 tsp Cayenne pepper

To serve

  • 8 Whole pineapple rings
  • 4 Thick slices of red onion
  • 4 Slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 Radishes thinly sliced
  • 4 Brioche rolls
  • Salad leaves
