Method

  • Combine the salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, together in large mixing bowl
  • Shape the beef mince into patties and stuff cheese into them
  • Place the beef patties in the fridge and allow to firm, at least 1 – 2 hours
  • Fry the burgers for 2 mins each side on hot griddle pan then finish in oven 10 mins
  • For the chutney, fry the onion, ginger, garlic in the oil 3 mins until softened
  • Add the sugar and vinegar and bring to the boil.
  • Mix in the halved tomatoes and coat well, boil until mixture is syrup like and sticky.
  • oast some brioche buns and assemble with burgers and relish

Beef Burger

  • 500 g beef mince Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured
  • Pinch of good quality salt
  • 2 tbsp pepper
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • 100 g cheddar cheese

Chutney

  • 1 punnet cherry tomato halved
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 garlic clove grated
  • 100 ml rapeseed oil
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp sugar
