Method
- Rub the salt beef dry mix onto the beef, place in the oven 2 -3 hours
- Place the onions in a hot pan, fry until softened
- Add the balsamic and honey and cook until thick and syrupy
- Pull the salted beef apart
- Build your sandwiches - Beef, caramelised onions and cheese.
- Butter the outer sides of the bread and place in a moderately hot pan for a few minutes each side until golden brown

Salted Beef
- 800 g Brisket joint
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 2 tbsp Thyme leaves
- 2 Garlic cloves crushed
- 2-3 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 3-4 tbsp Water
Caramelised onions
- 1-2 Red onion sliced
- 50 ml Balsamic vinegar
- 1-2 tbsp Honey
- 50 ml Rapeseed oil
- Ciabatta bread roll
- Softened butter
- Swiss cheese
