Method

  • Rub the brisket with garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper, then place it in the slow cooker.
  • Pour over BBQ sauce, beef stock, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4 - 5 hours, until tender.
  • Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  • Toss it back into the sauce to soak up the flavour.
  • To Serve - Toast the brioche buns. Pile the shredded BBQ brisket onto each bun and top with coleslaw before serving.

  • 1 kg Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured Beef Brisket
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 250 ml BBQ sauce
  • 100 ml beef stock
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • To Serve
  • 4 brioche or soft burger buns
  • 200 g coleslaw (store-bought or homemade)
