Beef Burger
500g Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured beef mince
2 tbsp. good quality salt
2 tbsp pepper
100g breadcrumbs
100g cheddar cheese
Chutney
1 punnet cherry tomato, halved
1 tbsp. ginger, grated
1 onion, diced
1 garlic clove, grated
100ml rapeseed oil
4 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp sugar
1. Combine the salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, together in large mixing bowl
2. Shape the beef mince into patties and stuff cheese into them
3. Place the beef patties in the fridge and allow to firm, at least 1 – 2 hours
4. Fry the burgers for 2 mins each side on hot griddle pan then finish in oven 10 mins
5. For the chutney, fry the onion, ginger, garlic in the oil 3 mins until softened
6. Add the sugar and vinegar and bring to the boil.
7. Mix in the halved tomatoes and coat well, boil until mixture is syrup like and sticky.
8. Toast some brioche buns and assemble with burgers and relish
