For the marinade

  1. 150mls Kikkoman Teriyaki sauce
  2. 2 large garlic cloves, crushed
  3. 1 1/2 inch piece of ginger, peeled and finely grated
  4. A pinch of dried chilli flakes
  5. 2 tablespoons honey
  6. Juice of 1 lime

To serve

  1. Steamed rice with vegetables or baby salad leaves with fresh crusty bread

  1.  In a large shallow dish, mix the marinade ingredients together. Add the steaks and coat well. Cover the dish with cling film and marinate for 30 minutes.
  2.  Preheat an oven.
  3.  Heat a non stick frying pan to a high heat.
  4. Remove the steaks from the marinade and seal for 1 minute on both sides.
  5. Place the sealed steaks onto a baking dish. Pour the remaining marinade into the frying pan and boil for 2 minutes, then pour over the steaks and place into a hot oven for 5 minutes for medium - rare, longer if you prefer them well done. Remove from the oven, cover with tinfoil and rest for 2 minutes.
  6.  Arrange salad onto plates with the steaks, drizzle the cooking sauce over the top and serve with crusty bread.
